Darth Vader is a Character in George Lucas’s Films Star Wars.  Darth Vader begins as a slave boy Anakin Skywalker.  Anakin and his mother Shmi are in servitude when a Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn notices young Anakin’s intuition and creativity.  Jinn beleives the young boy to be the “Chosen One” fortold by a Jedi prophecy as the one who will bring balance to the Force.  When Skywalker is presented to the Jedi Council to become an apprentice, he is rejected.  Before Jinn dies, Obi-Wan Kenobie promises to train young Skywalker.  During Anakin’s training he develops a friendship with Chancellor Palpatine who plots to take over the Republic and Destroy the Jedi Counsel. When Anakin’s Mother is killed, the greiving Skywalker is pursuaded by Palpatine, who is now a Dictator, to join him and use the power of the Dark Side to protect what is left of his family.  Thus the beginning of Lord Darth Vader, right hand man to the Emperor Palpatine.

Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi is a character in the Star Wars universe. He is one of several primary characters in the Star Wars series. Along with Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, R2-D2, and C-3PO, he is one of the few major characters to appear in all of the six Star Wars films. He is portrayed in the original trilogy by Alec Guinness as a supporting protagonist and in the prequel trilogy by Ewan McGregor as a major character.

Kenobi first appears in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Luke Skywalker, the film’s main protagonist, first believes that Kenobi is a mysterious hermit known as Old Ben Kenobi. Soon, Kenobi reveals himself to be an exiled Jedi Knight, and begins to tutor Luke Skywalker in the ways of the Force, a natural power harnessed by the Jedi.
